a. Location Data

The App accesses your precise GPS location while a tour is active. Location data is processed on your device to enable navigation and is not stored on our servers. We do not track your location in the background or when the App is closed.

b. Tour Prompts and Input

When you generate a tour, the text you enter (such as a city, neighborhood, or theme) is transmitted to our servers and to third-party AI services for processing. This text may be retained temporarily for tour generation and quality purposes.

c. Usage Information

We may collect information about how you use the App, including tours generated, duration selected, and voice preferences. This information is used to improve the App and is generally not used to identify individual users, except where necessary for support, debugging, security, or beta program administration.

d. Device Information

We may collect basic device information including iOS version and device model for compatibility and crash reporting purposes.

e. Email Address

If you sign up for beta access through our website or contact us for support, we may collect your email address. This information is used to grant beta access, send product updates, and provide support. We do not share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

• Generate and deliver personalized walking tours
• Improve the accuracy and quality of tour content
• Diagnose technical issues and improve app performance
• Understand usage patterns during the beta period
• Communicate with beta users about access, updates, and service notices

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each of which may receive limited data necessary to perform their function:

• Anthropic (Claude AI) — receives your tour prompt text to generate tour content. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Google Places API — receives location queries to identify points of interest near your chosen area.
• ElevenLabs — receives narration scripts to generate audio. Subject to ElevenLabs' Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — provides backend infrastructure. API requests are proxied through Supabase servers. Subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third-party providers.

Data Retention

Tour prompts and generated content may be retained on our servers for a limited period (generally up to 30–90 days) to support quality review and app improvement, unless a longer retention period is required for debugging, security, or legal obligations. Location data is not retained by our servers. During the beta period, data practices may evolve as the App develops.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Your Choices

You may revoke location permissions at any time through your device's iOS Settings. Doing so will disable navigation features of the App. During the beta period, there is no user account system; we therefore cannot identify or delete data tied to specific individuals beyond device-level settings.

Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we handle. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. The App is provided in beta form and may contain errors or vulnerabilities.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify beta users of material changes through the App or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
